Executive Functioning and ADHD
Children with ADHD often have difficulties with executive functioning, which simply put is the ability to shift attention through steps to get things done. Almost everything we do requires going through steps, even tasks we find very simple.
What does it actually feel like to have ADHD?
Extreme boredom. It's not just feeling a little bored, it's feeling the most bored that you have ever felt in your entire life and you would do almost anything to not feel this bored. Take a moment to think about a time you felt bored before and what that was like.

What is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) encompasses a range of characteristics, and not everyone with Autism exhibits all traits. This variability is why it's called a "spectrum" and why formal testing is crucial. The core symptoms are problems with social interactions or deficits in social/emotional reciprocity, restrictive/repetitive behaviors (i.e., pattern-seeking behaviors), and sensory issues.
